Skipton BID Funding
The money collected from the Skipton BID levy is used to provide support for projects, events and other activities that contribute to Skipton BID’s aims.
Applying for Funding
We ask that applicants for BID levy funding complete an application form (see below) so that we have all the details we need to make a decision. Applications are considered and discussed by the Directors, usually at a board meeting. The discussion considers how well an application meets the criteria set by the board (see below). In some cases, applicants are asked to attend a board meeting so that the directors can ask questions to help them to understand what is involved.
The directors meet monthly, usually on the last Tuesday; any application for funding needs to be with us a week in advance of board meetings.

Once Funding has been agreed
When funding has been approved by the directors, a payment schedule is agreed with the applicant. The final payment may be withheld until the end of an event, after a report has been submitted. The purpose of this report is to demonstrate how the event has met the objectives of Skipton BID’s funding.
