Fourth Term Ballot

Skipton BID will come to the end of its current term on 31st March 2024. We have set this page up to keep you informed of the process and have direct updates of the key dates and plans.

Skipton was one of the first BID’s in the north of England and for the last fourteen years, has proudly worked with businesses to deliver projects and services that businesses have identified as priorities.

Under BID legislation, all Business Improvement Districts need to go to ballot every five years. Skipton BID can be renewed for a further five years from April 2024 – March 2029 subject to a new business plan being published and a ballot being held.

Over the coming months you will be receiving surveys to complete, and you will be invited to drop-in sessions, consultation events and workshops to ensure that you are fully engaged in the process. It is essential you contribute to the consultation to ensure the BID develops a business plan for the next five years which will benefit your business as well as the town as a whole.
