We’re absolutely delighted to see the news that Skipton has been named as the happiest place to live in the UK!

We’re all about promoting positivity and continuing to add improvement for our town, so recognition such as this is great to see.

What’s not to love about Skipton though?! With a brilliant business community, immense our immense history, rich culture, food and drink venues galore, amazing attractions and much, much more – there really is so much on offer!

As the BID, we work hard to deliver different events, campaigns and services all year round to ensure Skipton remains a safe, welcoming, thriving and attractive place to visit, live and work for everyone.

With a vacancy rate of just 5% – which is almost three times lower than the national average at 14% – our business community continues to thrive to create a vibrant town centre for both local people and visitors!

We hope that being crowned the happiest place to live will help to encourage people into Skipton – leading to further support for our town centre.
