We know how important it is that Skipton remains a vibrant, popular and inspiring destination for all and stands out over competitors.
It’s crucial that we continue to drive both footfall and spend into our town centre to support our brilliant business community.
We’re proud to organise different events at key times of the year to create memorable, unique experiences for visitors, residents and business owners in our town.
As the BID, we commit to:
- Managing and developing the Welcome to Skipton brand to increase footfall and spend within the town.
- Seed funding and organising events to ensure a unique and diverse offer for residents and visitors.
- Continuing to fund Skipton in Bloom to ensure Skipton continues to be a vibrant and attractive location.
- Developing initiatives to encourage new residents to the area to integrate into the town activities.
What have we delivered?
As we move further into our fourth term, we have delivered a series of initiatives and events to achieve our ‘Vibrant & Inspiring’ objective.
Some of these include:
- Designing, creating and delivering a series of events at key times of the year including Easter, Halloween, Christmas and more.
- Monitoring and managing footfall stats and figures for within the town centre and distributing this important information.
- Developing and enhancing the Welcome to Skipton brand and online presence to encourage people into our town.
- Fully funding Skipton in Bloom projects to deliver key floral initiatives and hanging baskets to ensure our town remains vibrant and attractive.
- Using both digital and physical promotional opportunities to market Skipton and encourage both new and returning visitors.
