‘Fangtastic’ free Halloween fun set to return to Skipton with Pop-up Patch and Trail
Spooky season is fast approaching and Skipton BID is pleased to announce details of the free upcoming Halloween offer in the town centre.
The Business Improvement District (BID) is excited to fully fund a pop-up pumpkin patch during half-term on October 29th, set to once again take over the Canal Basin bringing a traditional ‘spooktacular’ feel into Skipton with over 200 pumpkins.
But, before entering the patch to pick their pumpkin, families must have completed the Monster Trail around town. Grab a trail map and head out on a haunting adventure as you search for the 10 different ghosts and ghouls hidden in businesses around Skipton…
Once the pumpkins have been picked, there will be a chance for families to join a free carving workshop to take it home ready to celebrate Halloween on the 31st.
Sarah Howsen, Skipton BID Manager, said: “We’re excited to once again bring some special Halloween fun into Skipton town centre.
“The pop-up patch is always so popular and we’re looking forward to seeing you all on the day.
“It’s a great chance to get your pumpkin carving done, free of charge ready for the trick or treaters!
“But, don’t forget you need to tell us the hidden password by finishing the trail before you can enter…”
If you’re looking for some Halloween fun during half-term, head down to the Basin between 10am and 4pm and grab a wheelbarrow, pick your favourite pumpkin and take a wicked picture at the ‘face in the hole’ opportunity – all while enjoying the entertainment from the mischievous scarecrow.
Free Halloween-themed crafting and other activities will also take place throughout the day around the pumpkin patch area, with Creative Peeps hosting a stall.
The Monster Trail will run in the town centre from October 24th until November 1st. Anyone that completes the trail and submits their trail sheets with the mystery passphrase will be entered into a prize draw, featuring a range of Skipton-themed gifts.
