Hundreds of vehicles to line the High Street as Skipton Car Show gears up for return this weekend

More than 170 different vehicles are set to take over Skipton High Street this weekend as the Car Show gears up to return this weekend.

And not only that, visitors can also expect a special fly over from one of the most successful military transport aircraft in history…

Organisers of the Car Show have now confirmed that all show spaces are full, meaning that just over 170 automobiles will line the High Street between 10am and 4pm on Sunday (June 7th).

Trading spaces are also full, giving the chance to local businesses to share their offer to a wider audience.

Mark Dale, organiser of the Car Show, said: “We’ve had a great response to this year’s Show, with car space and traders filling the slots a few weeks ago! We’ve even had to create a waiting list.

“The show is a true celebration of Britain’s passion for all things automotive – and we’ve got a magnificent mix heading into Skipton on Sunday. We can’t wait to see everyone there.”

Last week, Mark revealed he has also organised for an historic Douglas C47 Dakota to fly over the show on the High Street at around 1.28pm on the day. The Dakota was widely used by the Allies during the Second World War and became known as one of the world’s best transport aircraft.

Mark added: “It’s going to be a fantastic extra feature during the 2026 show and one not to be missed! A big thank you to The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight for kindly agreeing to execute the fly past.”

First held over 10 years ago, the Car Show has evolved into an event the whole town takes pride in. It brings increased footfall to local businesses and creates meaningful opportunities for charities to connect with visitors and share their work with a broad audience.

Entry to the show is free and any donations made on the day will help the independently run event to continue in future years.

Businesses can also make last minute raffle prize donations to support the show. These can be dropped off at the Skipton BID Office on the High Street between 9am – 4pm from Monday to Friday this week, or contact the BID team on info@skiptonbid.com to organise a collection time.
