Purpose of the Role:
To manage the coordination and operations of all weddings at Skipton Castle efficiently and competently to ensure a smooth running for the wedding couple’s special day. To achieve and maintain the highest standards in hospitality, providing a friendly and welcoming environment for the wedding couple and their guests.
Essential Skills:
- Well organised, professional, punctual, literacy and numeracy, computer skills, people skills, able to work calmly under pressure, prioritise key tasks, work as part of a team and lead that team on the wedding day.
- Bring a good degree of positivity and energy to the job, upholding the name and reputation of Skipton Castle at all times.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Evidence of strong planning, organisational and time management skills
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results while working on own initiative
- Computer literate
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Manage the operations and communications of all weddings at Skipton Castle
- Ensure all staff are fully briefed, where appropriate
- Respond to wedding and event enquiries, sales and follow up
- Show prospective visitor wedding couples around the castle venue/spaces, explaining the service offered
- Manage the planning meetings with wedding couples
- Manage any complaints and crisis management on the wedding day
- Organise and produce relevant notices for staff
- Protect confidential information about Skipton Castle, visitors, clients, family members, its staff and all security matters
