Helen Rhodes
Helen is the part-time manager of Ilkley Business Improvement District and has long been involved with the businesses in Ilkley having previously been the Chairman of the Ilkley Business Forum and leading the Ilkley Business Awards committee for several years. Outside the world of Ilkley BID, Helen and her husband run a successful specialist engineering company based in Ilkley and in the past she was an independent retailer for 7 years, so knows first hand the challenges of running a business.
Alison Laws
Alison is a Business Relationship Manager for the York & North Yorkshire Growth Hub which is part of the York & North Yorkshire LEP. She works with businesses across the Yorkshire Dales to provide free support to help them to start, thrive or survive, identifying opportunities, signposting support, and connecting businesses. Alison’s background is in domestic, travel, and international retail, and she has worked with a number of UK and international brands across the Middle East, India and Australia, before moving into the Business Support sector.
